We often get asked these questions when it comes to our discovery appointment.
Nothing.
We have everything needed. The only thing you need to do prior to the meeting is complete the Client Data Snapshot.
However, we do recommend that you bring your partner if your finances interact, or if you’ll be making financial decisions together.
We schedule our Discovery appointments to take around 90 minutes. Based on the complexity of the discussion, your meeting may be shorter. The length of the meeting can depend on your situation and the complexities of the strategies involved.
We cover the cost of your first meeting. We want to ensure you are able to do your research and find out if we are the right people to help you, without obligation.
The Statement of Advice presentation will cover a range of topics relating to your financial future and current situation. It will also reconfirm your objectives, the strategies and recommendations of the document, outline the agreed upon service level as well as the key MWS values and the implementation process.
You have the opportunity to choose to proceed and have a Statement of Advice prepared. Alternatively, you can take a few days to think about it.
If you decide that you wouldn’t like a financial strategy prepared, then that is okay. The first meeting is completely obligation free.
No financial knowledge is needed. Our Financial Advisors pride themselves on their ability to share complex details in a easy to understand manner. We believe in using plain English, not financial jargon.
An added bonus is that you’ll get a thorough insight into how we see what is currently happening in your financial world.
What you’ll get out of the meeting will depend on your individual circumstances but it can include the following:
- A thorough breakdown of your current financial situation and the gaps
- Answers to your concerns and questions
- A holistic approach to your financial plan and your financial future
- Help to design and set your financial goals and objectives over the short and long term
- An outline of the strategies discussed to create your clear financial roadmap for you to take away
We will never take on a client who we believe we can’t help or provide value to, over and above our fees. If you believe we can’t help in your financial situation, we can refer you to someone that may be able to help.
